A journalist's instinct for the human story

Marsha built her career at network stations in major TV markets, including the ABC-owned station in Raleigh-Durham, the CBS-owned station in Denver and the CBS affiliate in Columbus, Ohio. She rose from producer to executive producer to assistant news director, and her newscasts won Emmy and Associated Press awards in three markets. In all, her work has earned eight regional Emmy Awards and 11 National Telly Awards.

As news director at Ivanhoe Broadcast News, she led national medical and science programming for more than 250 local TV stations, built partnerships with hundreds of hospitals, physicians and researchers, and directed a team of 50 field producers. She later produced Inside Science TV for the American Institute of Physics.

Today, through Marsha Lewis Veitia & Associates, she and her creative team produce broadcast segments and science communication for research institutions and health organizations, including AdventHealth's Translational Research Institute.
